Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is Wii U launch title

Namco has sent over its latest release schedule, confirming Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as a launch title for Wii U.

It seems the Japanese publisher will be supporting Wii U from the off, since both Tank! Tank! Tank!, Family Party: 30 Great Games and Ben 10: Omniverse will also be launching along side the new console.

Currently there are around 11 games launching along side the Wii U. That's a lot of games for us to review, will there be more?

Keep an eye on the site and we'll let you know.

I think I'll give this a rental at least, I'm not really a fan of Tekken, but I'm interested to see how the Mario power ups are going to affect the gameplay.

Probably gonna pick this up even though I own the PS3 version. Probably be super cheap by the time I actually own a Wii U anyway

I already own this on the ps3 so I won't be getting this, but I am interested in how the mario power ups work. It would be cool to see angel in a pit outfit

The more launch titles the better...im very surprised to see that the actual launch day list is actually rather small (although the games do look very polished). I do believe Nintendo themselves stated that they have realised there mistakes with the 3DS launch..but perhaps they should have thrown Pikmin 3 into the mix too?

This is a smart move to get this on launch, not only is it an incredibly sharp fighter, much more so than Tekken 6 was, and perhaps the strongest Tekken out of the blocks since Tekken 3, but it's also going to be a very useful game for selling the Xbox360 styled controller out the door because the big old Wii-U controller certainly doesn't lend itself to something like this. If anyone fancies a fighting game to compliment their Wii-U then they're in luck because this one is pretty darned great.

Wii and Wii U are not the consoles for fighting games really the controls dont really support it.

I dont know the pro controller or whatever its called could work for it. Could also use the screen on the control to display a lost of moves similar to what they done for the 3DS fighters.
