Dragon Age 3: Inquisition announced

BioWare has today announced that they are making a new Dragon Age game titled Dragon Age 3: Inquisition. The game will be made by the same team who made Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2.

The game will be powered by a new engine which is using the Frostbite 2 engine as a foundation. So far, 18 months of work have gone into this new Dragon Age and its because of a huge fan base of Dragon Age fans, Mark Darrah mentions:

"Part of that effort has involved you, our fans, and the feedback you've provided for Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age II, and their DLC. We've visited message boards, read reviews, and we've gone to events to have direct face to face conversations with some of our most passionate fans. We've been listening, and we will continue to listen."

There is currently no indication as to when or on which platforms the game is set to release.

So excited for this! I love Origins and DA2. When DA3 got announced yesterday I started a new playthrough of Origins (and after that's done, i'll do DA2 again) in celebration of the announcement! More Dragon Age! :D

I had a feeling they'd go for a third. Hopefully it will be better than Dragon age 2, Origins was brilliant.

I think this series is totally under-rated. It is by far one of my favourites! What makes it that little bit better is Kate Mulgrew (Captain Katherine Janeway of the USS Voyager) lending her voice to Flemeth ;)

Dragon Age Origins was Amazing but Dragon Age 2 had EA's sticky little fingers all over it.I'll keep a eye on this but I'm not expecting much

I have only ever played the first Dragon Age and never got round to buying Dragon Age 2. I would more then happily buy it if my wallet wasn't empty =/

Wonder if this will deal with the war between the chantry/mages as hinted at the end of Dragon Age 2.

Fantastic news. The first game was an old school style classic Western RPG. I felt the second drifted a little to far from that formula however. the third sounds like its being built around the versatile and stunning Frostbite series of engines. Something that makes me think we might see this as a launch title on the next generation as well as a current series of consoles title.

Enjoyed the demo, looking forward to the game now. I'm probably in the minority really liking 5 (more for the co-opness than the story or anything). I was never a huge resi fan back with the old games though.

Too many tabs... commented on the wrong story. I'm actually only just playing Dragon Age 1 but I'm really enjoying it so nice to hear that they are making a third :D, I heard mixed things about 2 though.
