Goldfinger joins 007 Legends line-up

Activision has today announced that Goldfinger will be the fifth 007 movie-inspired mission in its upcoming 007 Legends video game.

The title joins a line-up which so far includes Die Another Day, Moonraker, Licence to Kill and On Her Majesty?s Secret Service.

According to the press release, in 007 Legends, the Goldfinger mission joins 007 early in his career investigating Auric Goldfinger, a gold magnate thought to be behind a recent spike in gold prices, only to discover a larger plot to irradiate the entire Fort Knox gold reserve.

007 Legends features an original, overarching storyline that explores agents journey from a rookie secret agent to the man we know now. It'll tie together the five classic Bond movie-inspired missions above, plus a sixth mission based on this year?s latest movie, Skyfall, which will be available post launch as downloadable content.

I'm actually quite surprised that these games are still going. I don't know anyone that brought the other Xbox/PS3 games. Although having missions from the films perks my interests to some degree :)

I've got mixed feelings about this, I loved the Goldeneye remake on the Wii, but it was far from impressive ported over to the 360. Maybe this one will be better, but I doubt it. I'm not sure how they are going to reduce whole films in to single levels either. And I'm not keen as Daniel Craig as Bond.
