PC owners will have long wait for Resident Evil 6

Those waiting for Resident Evil 6 to come to PC are in for a long wait, although it is coming.

?It will be some time still before we provide details on release dates and PC specific parameters,? Capcom USA senior vice president Svensson said on Capcom Unity.

?The process did not begin until after the console versions were complete, submitted, approved by console first parties to use that final codebase as the starting point.?

It doesn't help of course that there where changes to the team, however it seems these changes where essential.

?It is a small, but appropriately sized team working on the Resident Evil 6 PC project. It is a different group than originally planned, lest it would have taken even longer than it currently will,? he said.

?But this team will do a better job than what was being considered originally.?

Finally, Svensson added that the publisher is taking the PC Port seriously, a lesson it learned from previous titles in the series.

?When they get treated as trivial, you end up with Resident Evil 4 PC ? which I don?t think too many true fans were pleased with,? he said.

Resident Evil 6 is due for release next month.

It's always a shame when PC takes a back seat. I hope it runs smoothly when it's released. It would be a shame to wait longer and have a worse version.

Its times like this i'm glad i didn't go out and spend hundreds of pounds on a gaming PC , i often get the urge to go and buy one but never actually go through with it. I really feel for the PC gamers :(

hmm... It is oddly annoying that games are always designed for the lowest parameters before being considered for a PC release. I am hoping for the fact they mention a team it is indeed going to be optimized for PC rather than a horrific PC emulation port. After playing the demo on the 360 I was thinking how the PC could be a lot more atmospheric with use of 10/11 sharers over the consoles DX9 mimicry.

Not so good news for PC gamers. My friend will be disappointed with the news.
