Dragon's Dogma to get new 'free' game modes

Capcom's this morning confirmed that it will be making new modes and content available for Dragon's Dogma in the coming months.

Available free of charge and scheduled for release before the end of the year, Capcom will introduce new Speedrun and Hard modes.

Speedrun will challenge players to clear the game as quickly as possible with in-game equipment awarded for those who clock specific times; while Hard Mode turns up the difficulty with enemies that are tougher to defeat, but with the reward of further equipment.

It's also been confirmed, that in 2013, Capcom will release Dragon?s Dogma Dark Arisen, a new expansion for the series, which will allow players of the original Dragon?s Dogma to transfer their saves across.

Always a rare but pleasant change to hear of free content. Can't go wrong with that at all!

Awesome! I played this game for hours back when it was released. It's nice to see it still being supported by the developers and with free game modes no less. I recommend this to RPG fans, this is really something!

The best bit about this news is Shopto dropping the price to £18.85 to celebrate! (Hint hint)

Around the new year when this game hits the £20-£25 I shall pick it up. So some new DLC is always welcome. It's all about actual gaming time now, so with so many releases coming up its getting tough to find the hours in the day to play all these good games!
