EU PS Store Update, Oct 3 - Hell Yeah! Wrath of The Rabbit *update*

This week's PlayStation Store update is out, bringing us a whole new month of PlayStation Plus content, which kicks off with Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Rabbit for the grand price of free.

Elsewhere on he PS Store this week, PS Vita owners are boosted with the arrival of 21 new games thanks to the release of PlayStation Mobile.

Non Plus subscribers can still download Hell Yeah!, Wrath of the Rabbit, although you'll need to play for the privilege.

It seems like Jet Set Radio has been removed from the list by Sony. The game was due in the middle of this month, so we are presuming that this is still the plan and that it had been listed in error by the PS Blog.

Check out the full update below.

Sadly no PSone classics. They're always the highlights. Hope they're not giving up on them. Also, Nights Into Dreams? Is that what I think it is? Sega Saturn Nights?

Yes it's NiGHTS from the saturn but an HD version. Too bad about the Ps1 games. but they have most of the good games already. What are you waiting for in particular?

Didn't realise there was gonna be an HD version to begin with. Thats unexpectedly awesome. I'm wanting Tombi in particular. It's out in the Japan and US markets so I could easily pick it up now but that way I dont think I'd be able to use it on my PSP so I've decided to wait and see if it ever makes it here. Other than Tombi, I just love PS1 games

Does anyone ever buy full retail games digitally at those prices? I don't think any shops even sell them for that much.

Jet Set Radio Vita was accidently listed for today, but it's release is still two weeks away.

Blockbuster can be poor as well. FIFA 12, days before 13 was out, £44.99.
Dead's avatar
Blockbuster are crap, I bought a second hand DVD from them a while ago and they sent me the wrong DVD in the box. Took me about a month to get it sorted out with them and get the DVD I ordered. Their rental service is pretty crappy too, I've got about 20 games on my rental list and they haven't sent me anything in about 2 weeks. I would switch to Lovefilm, but whoever lived here before me scammed them out of a load of DVDs and they won't let anyone rent at this address now.

Only ordered once online from Blockbuster, that was Bulletstorm, now returning due to free with Plus. Just hope it all goes okay, fine on the phone.

Hmm, digital versions of games should really be cheaper than the physical counterpart. Not more expensive. Sony, MS and Nintendo need to work on that especially for next gen.
Dead's avatar
They don't really, at the moment their games sell, be it physically or digitally, doesn't really matter to them either way, they still get the money. All they have to do is ride it out for a couple of console generations and then all of a sudden physical media is done away with and we are all screwed having to pay full whack on everything.

Oh god if they do move full on digital they better damn well lower prices! I hate digitally buying things. Takes up memory that I could be using for something else and the whole juggling installs/games to add newer things is such a pain in the rear

It's going to happen sooner or later, maybe in the 2020's hopefully prices will go down by then, they should be cheaper because of the lack of physical costs anyway, but they haven't even got that yet. Whether they lower prices or not though it's going to be bad for the economy, it'll give the games companies a monopoly, put a load of retailers out of business, and you can kiss goodbye to the second hand market.

Its odd. The PS3 titles seem more expensive, but the digital titles for the Vita are the same or actually cheaper than in store prices. There is clearly only one reason. The PS3 and Xbox have established and pre existing publisher and brick and mortar retail deals in place. Ones that almost certainly force MS and Sony respectively to price digital releases above those of the high street. The Vita however came out of the gate promising day and date digital after digital became the normal method for games retail in a handheld market. This explains how they can price the releases more competitively and you will find retail copies of Vita games are considerably more expensive, often ridiculously so. Brick and mortar retail do not have beneficial deal for re-selling Vita titles. I will almost guarantee this will become the norm in the next generation as manufactures work to destroy the brick and mortar element of games retail and cut out a increasingly pointless middle man.

It's very odd they haven't even given an estimate. I'm assuming it wont release untill they atleast publicly aknowledge its absence beforehand
