Joe Danger 2 will be released on PS3 it's next week, priced at 9.99 GBP.
As a bonus for PS3 players, the game will include what the developer is calling "Joe Danger Gaiden" a throwback to when the studio made the original Joe Danger.
"As four guys sat in a room playing our own game, we fell into that classic trap of playing our own game too much," Hello Games Sean Murray tells us, "Our first prototype was this very tight, very challenging game that took about 10 hours to complete. No tutorials, no handholding, just fun arcade gameplay. Our friends loved it, but only the most skilled players could master it. Actually, if I remember right, none of us were able to complete it.
"At the time we just had to go back to the drawing board, we wanted Joe Danger to be more accessible and easier to get into. We scrapped about half of the levels, and toned down the rest. Then we added a huge amount of new content, to make what became the original Joe Danger.
"It's sad that no one but us got to experience this "Gaiden" version. When we came to make Joe Danger 2 for PS3, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to let our original fans play that unseen game."
Sean says that it easily ten hours to complete this "Gaiden" version, adding that many of the levels will be familiar to fans of the original, and others are experiments that the studi loved but were too challenging or quirky for the main game. He also added that the studio has revisited them all and added a bunch of new stuff from JD2 like Pro Medals and hidden challenges.
The PS3 version also gets the bonus of added Youtube support, better level-editing, smoothed out difficulty spikes and improvements which came about by fan feedback.
