Medal of Honor: Warfighter Open Beta now available on Xbox Live

If you're an Xbox Live Gold Member you can now download the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Multiplayer Beta.

The beta will feature the multiplayer mode Hotspot, in which players must attack and defend randomly chosen locations.

A sixth of the 72 Tier 1 Operators will be available to unlock within the beta, including US Navy Seals and the British SAS. The only playable map at the moment is the Sarajevo Stadium in Bosnia but Danger Close has stated that there will be over 30 maps and game modes within the full release.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter explodes into stores at the end of the month and you can preorder the Limited Edition today at ShopTo.

Sounds a bit crap for a beta, one map, one game type. Considering how close the games final release is it's more like a demo than a proper beta.

Thats exactly what this, thats what they almost always are now! This is a MP demo that probably ties into some late in dev stress tests on the MP framework. Par of the course for MP shooters now. Nothing negative about it, a taste of a product is better than nothing after all.

When it's a franchise that has long since turned sour I can well do without a taste of it.

Well I was looking forward to this game. Played the beta for about a half hour before I had enough. Liked the previous MoH, but this one... I dunno. It just feels generic, like most FPS now. They're not beta's at all, a lot of bugs (if any) we see in public beta's are not addressed in the final product.

Ah thats a shame. Its not really suprising though. Dishonoured is out soon to itch any FPS gamers scratches anyways

I doubt I'm going to even bother downloading it. I'm a bit tired of FPS's these days. Also doesn't sound if the game is really all that great to begin with

The only MoH game I liked was Medal of Honour: Frontline. Ever since that I've never bothered. Im going to stick with Treyarc's installments of COD for the time being :D!

I loved them up untill this generation. It doesn't phase me too much that they're going downhill though. The amount of wartime FPS games we've seen lately is just getting silly

i had a little play on it today, definitely improved on the last MoH but still.....meh! it'll never compare to COD or BF3 sadly as i think we need some new FPS franchise to take over, it's all getting a bit dull atm.

Less realism more fantasy I think. Or horror. Anything but gritty real world shooters

As I said in the news article about the chart. It seems to me that the companies are running out of ideas, rehasing old one with a tweak or two here and charging £35+ for it when it should be DLC at most.
