New Assassin's Creed III: Liberation trailer shows off pocket sized assassinations

Sony and Ubisoft have released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed III: Liberation which is hitting PS Vita's the same days as it's bigger sibling, October 31th.

The new trailer showcases the storyline in the new handheld Assassin's adventure, which is set between 1765 and 1780, and features the first playable female Assassin in the series, Aveline de Grandpre. Liberation takes place around the end of the French and Indian War.

Aveline will also have her own, brand new, set of animations as well as have the ability to dual-wield weapons, such as the new blowpipe as well as the familiar swords, knives, pistols and hidden blade.

Assassin's Creed III: Liberation will be sliding it's hidden blade exclusively onto the PS Vita and into your wallets on October 31st and you can preorder the game at ShopTo today.

This game looks amazing. If you don't have a Vita this may very well be the reason to get one.

It's good to see Ubisoft putting a lot of faith in the vita. I tried Liberation at Eurogamer and it really felt like a normal Assassin's Creed game, not like the previous PSP entries.

It certainly looks like a more interesting story than the main console release, but I do find the gameplay in AC to be really tedious and dull.

Well I love Assassins Creed and this looks amazing, glad I have my preorder prepaid from here actually; £30 :) can't wait-this and AC3 will be GOTYs in my opinion. I hope this sells well enough relative to number of vita's sold to justify Ubisoft making vita games for AC like this in the future.... and hopefully kicks activision uo the arse so they do something similar with COD instead of what looks to be crap -declassified thank god Nihilistic are moving to mobile only gaming so wont be able to ruin anymore games for vita,3Ds or the main consoles.
