MCV Games Media Award 2012 winners revealed

The MCV Games Media Awards took place last night, with Hookshot Inc and its founders pretty much sweeping up.

Hookshot Inc was winner of best blog, while Christian Donlan won Specialist Writer (Print), Simon Parkin was named Specialist Writer (Online) and Keith Stuart took the National Newspaper (Writer) award for his writing work in The Guardian.

As usual, Eurogamer took the best website award for what is now the sixth year running. 

Other winners include IGN's Keza MacDonald who was the recipient of the new Games Writer of the Year award, while Kieron Gillen was named as Games Media Legend.

How did Keza McDonald win writer of the year she is terrible. I remember her moaning on a podcast that most games are becoming boring with the same old stuff then a month or so later raving about New Super Mario Bros which totally goes against her earlier point.

Same here havent got a clue who theses people are but ill be looking forward to the golden joystick awards as thats more about the titles. Well done to all above though as its hard to win things these days as there is a lot of competition.
