New DLC announced for Xcom Enemy Unknown

2K Games has announced that it'll be releasing new DLC for the excellent XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

The first DLC to arrive is named the Slingshot Content Pack, which will include a new set of linked Council missions over three new maps, a new playable squad character with a unique story and voice and new character customisation options.

2K didn't announce a release date or price, but did say it will be out soon.

In addition to the above, 2K Games has also announced the Elite Soldier Pack, which was free to those who pre-ordered the game or bought it at launch. You can download this now for 400 Microsoft Points (around 3.50 GBP).

Great news for those that like it I suppose, personally it really annoys me, I love the subject and themes, but I'd rather chew my own arm of than play a RTS game.

Great to see more content for a very strong contender for game of the year. I hope they go down the more substantial DLC route though.
