GTA Vice City Anniversary coming to Android and iOS

Rockstar has announced that to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, it'll be releasing a series of commemorative assets, including never-before-seen artwork and a brand new anniversary trailer highlighting some of the most iconic scenes and music from the game.

Perhaps more importantly for some, the publisher has also announced that it'll be releasing an Anniversary Edition of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for select iOS and Android devices later this year. This upcoming version will include native high-resolution graphics and several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android platforms.

More details is expected on the mobile version soon.

IMHO Vice City is by far the best of the GTA games, any chance of a HD remake? Maybe on the Rockstar collection v2?

I've got GTA3 on my android tablet. Trying to play it without a controller is utterly retarded and I'll never buy another game similar on something other than a console

lol, I was just about to post "I can't help but wonder how this will play without a proper controller", but I guess that answers that :)

Couldn't agree more. The game is still great but controlling it renders it pretty much unplayable.

Yep, all these claims about phones being able to do console quality games is all well and good, but without a proper controller they just aren't going to work properly.

This is why they need to put them on Playstation Mobile, I'd love to play GTA3 and VC on my Vita.

Love the setting of this GTA and it is easily my fave from the franchise. I shall see how the port works before taking the plunge.

I played the original GTA on PS1 to death, but for some reason never got into the sequels - aside from messing around at a friends house mowing down pedestrians. If they could release a version on android that could be properly controlled I might be tempted to give it a go again.
