ESRB rates Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for PS3

An ESRB rating indicates that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas might be coming to PlayStation 3 in some form.

The rating doesn't give any hints away as to when or in what capacity we will be seeing the hugely popular PS2 title but it could be a possible HD Playstation Network release or even a bundled preorder offer linked in with GTA V.

Vice City was similarly rated by the ESRB earlier this year, but news on this has been quiet ever since.

We'll have more news on this as it appears.

Omg, I'd love this to come out for PS3. I miss the old days, playing CJ. This was my favourite GTA ever.

Since Rockstar are nice, I have a feeling that GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas will all be released before GTA V and they will discount them all (hopefully free for PS Plus subscribers) to boost sales and excitement. Maybe I'm being too hopeful, but I'd love a discount on all of them bundled together!

It would be nice if all 3 were bundled onto one disc, preferably install-free. Vice City was my favourite of the last gen GTAs so I hope that will be done in HD, i would buy that in a second, San Andreas and 3 I didn't enjoy as much so I'd probably only get them if they were bundled together.

On PC they're always doing discounted Rockstar bundles, would love for it to happen for both consoles.

Already have it for the 360, although I know a fair few people who will be excited by the news. I wanna see some more ps2 classics coming to 360 and ps3.

This is the only GTA I never properly finished. I disliked the characters and story, but couldn't get enough of just mucking about with BMXs and swimming and just generally not paying any attention to all the hard work the developers put in to the storyline! This is something I recently repeated with Dragon's Dogma, for much the same reasons - who wants to listen to all that wooden, weirdly accented tosh in the cutscenes when you can be chucking yourself off of cliffs and fighting groups of enemies in your underpants! (Those scenarios fit both GTA San Andreas and Dragon's Dogma, funnily enough...)

This is quite possibly the best news I've had for quite some time.

I download this on xbox but if it comes to ps3 with trophies I might download. I could imagine that it could come with GTA V too.

hope this is true with trophy support

They won't have trophy support, they will just fall in to the PS2 classics category. Would have been great to see HD remakes but at the same time I'd sooner see new IPs like Agent actually release!
