Black Ops 2 patched on PS3 to solve freezing issues

Activision has released a patch to hopefully stop certain copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 from causing a system lock-up on PlayStation 3.

These freezing issues seems to occur during online play for some users, although we can't say that we've experienced this so far.

The patch is available now, so if you have been?experiencing?issues then there is a good chance that you won't any more.

Let us know below of your experience of the game so far. If you're yet to take the plunge then our review (which we are working hard on) will be with you soon.

Will you be mentioning the horrendous lag and pitiful hit detection in your review?

The game is unfortunately a mess on all platforms. Didn't see that one coming, honest ;-)

There are quite a few bugs in this game mainly with killstreaks killing you or just not working. I feel sorry for the PS3 community on this one, treyarch should have tested for this problem.

PS3 versions of games (Skyrim, Fallout 3) are getting all the wrong attention; Bugs! Lots of Bugs!

Didn't have any freezing or lag issues at the weekend for the Multiplayer. The campaign however, kept hard crashing my damn PS3! Great game, but like all the other releases this autumn gaming season, it's been fundamentally broken and needed time for spit and polish!

Seems like developers are a bit lazy on the PS3...

360 is having issues also. Seems all platforms are suffering.

I'm having all sorts of problems on mine. Like for example while during gameplay or even sitting on the menu it lags terribly 5 times then returns to normal. This is horrible when trying to play -_-

Not had any issues with this myself. On a side note, if you let Activision know your game didn't include a code they will send you a replacement one no questions asked. Not saying you should exploit this but hey....
