Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault delayed for Vita

Sony has announced a delay to the PlayStation Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault.

The title was set to arrive alongside the PlayStation 3 version on November 28, however according to the PS Blog, the Vita version will now go on sale in January 2013.

There has been no official?explanation?as to the reason for the delay, but to make up for this Sony will release the first add-on content - The Mini-Boss Skin Pack DLC, for free.

If you grab the PS3 version then you'll get hold of the Vita version for free. The Vita version includes cross-save and cross-play functionality.

Hmmm, that's a shame. I'm guessing that there were problems porting from PS3 to Vita properly and was throwing up too many bugs to pass QC. It could affect sales, with people holding off till the Vita version is ready, but seeing as it auto unlocks when released I think it will still sell ok. By that time people will have probably played and finished it the PS3 version ready for a replay of it on the Vita version.

It is a shame. I was considering picking this up as well. This and PSASBR having the cross-buy facility is really getting me pumped for the vita! Hopefully it doesn't affect the machine too much

Shame. However, it's better to not rush it out.
