Splash Damage announce new F2P multiplayer shooter 'Dirty Bomb'

The team behind Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and 2011's Brink, Splash Damage has announced a brand new game in the form of 'Dirty Bomb'. A free to player multiplayer shooter based in a futuristic setting, with at least one level being set in London.

The only confirmed platform is currently PC and that's about the only released information. But you can reserve your name for when the game is released on the official website.

interesting.. not a PC gamer anymore these days after becoming board of the WoW series, then trying star wars/diablo 3/guild wars 2.... never really tried anything other than MMORPG games in all honesty though!

I liked Brink, to be honest. Wasn't the world-beater that I thought it would be but I liked it nonetheless. Enemy Territory was fun too. That said, I'll definitely be checking out Dirty Bomb. Splash Damage's games aren't perfect (no game is) but they are fun, that's for sure. ^_^

Brink's customization was alright but there was hardly a story, single player campaign was practically the same as multiplayer and that got quite repetitive fast, also the A.I was useless. I hope Dirty Bomb does better.

When Brink was first announced i was ecstatic about getting it, when it arrived i thought it was a decent game but fealt a bit dissapointed, only because my expectations were so high for it. Hopefully they decide to make it an Xbox game aswell, Can't complain about F2P!!

I thought Brink was pretty crappy really, and Quake Wars wasn't much better, shame really as ET Wolfenstein was really good.

This could be one to look out for, hopefully they'll bring something new to the FPS table.

It's 'free' so it doesn't really matter if it's ANOTHER multiplayer FPS. The ingenuity, the creativity..the..I'll stop - point made! ;)

Wolfenstein is one game I'd love to give a go. Brink wasn't awful but it wasn't good either. Very average and Doom 3s rerelease shows just this and what a great game Doom is 8 years later. As for Quake Wars... Crap. Bring us Quake 4 on the PS3 with Quake 1,2 & 3!

Brink was quite fun but it had so much potential to be even better - which is what made it so disappointing. Splash Damage have some talented people working for them though so I'll be keeping a watchful eye on their future releases. As for Dirty Bomb, it sounds intriguing and I do like the setting of a futuristic London.
