Rayman Legends gets March release date *update* demo also dated

Rayman Legends will be released for this Wii U on March 1st, with the US getting a February 28 release date.

The highly anticipated and quite frankly excellent looking title, is only two months away. We're still a bit gutted that it didn't arrive at launch, but still it's coming now, so we are happy.

Rayman Legends sees one player using the GamePad to help the other out in what looks like one of the most fun co-op games we've ever played. We can't wait to try it out more and bring you our review.

Ubisoft has announced that it'll release a demo for Rayman Legends on the Nintendo Wii U estore on December 13.

Great news. But I do think it should be multi plat. I am a fan of games that are exclusives, but throwing money at devs/publishers to get their sequels exclusive to your console bugs me (See Bayonetta and Rayman) Origins was perfect on console and is great fun on Vita. I would have liked to see the series continue on the other platforms

Bayonetta we are only seeing BECAUSE Nintendo threw money at it. Nobody else would publish it. Considering like-warm sales for Rayman Origins I really wonder if this is the case for Legends too. Which is a shame because Origins was one f the best games of 2011.

Yeah, but considering the fan outcry when Bayonetta was announced as WiiU Exclusive, I would say that a sequel would sell well across all platforms. Limiting your audience to those with a wiiU I don't think is gonna help one bit. I was under the impression that while sales were slow, the overall numbers for Bayonetta classed it as a success (all be it with a dirt poor PS3 port)

Bayonetta was never a commercial success. Its a shame, because it's amazing and deserved better. Would I like the sequel to be mulitplatorm? Definitely. It would save me money. However, the harsh reality is Bayonetta 2 wouldn't be coming out at all if it wasn't for Nintendo throwing money at it. So I'm just glad for that.

Fair enough. I never heard a bad thing about it, I kind of assumed that while it started show, it done pretty well. My logic went with "if it wasn't some form of success Ninty wouldn't throw money at it" Clearly I was wrong

Rayman Origins was such an under appreciated game, which is a shame because it was surprisingly good. It will be interesting to see if this is anywhere near its standard.

I'll probably give it a rental, I wasn't really impressed with Origins, but I was playing Mario 3D Land at the time, so it was obviously going to suffer in comparison. It was a wise move delaying it for a few months, it would have been stupid to put it up against New Super Mario Bros U.
