Two Oddworld titles set to arrive on PlayStation


Oddworld Inhabitants has announced that Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD for Vita will release in North America on Tuesday 18 December and Europe on Wednesday 19 December, while Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD will release for PlayStation 3 on 19 December in Europe.

Stranger's Wrath follows the story of Stranger, a bounty hunter that captures outlaws to raise "moolah" for a mysterious surgical procedure. The Vita version is specifically updated to make use of the hardware featuring rear touch pad and touchscreen interaction along with all the HD improvements from the PC and PS3 version.

Munch's Oddysee, sees players guide Oddworld hero Abe, and his aquatic Gabbit partner Munch, using special psychic powers, power-ups, and other special abilities to deliver payback as they reclaim the last Gabbit eggs on Oddworld, which have been packaged in a can of Gabbiar. The game features unlockable concept art, new audio and art assets along with an improved control system designed for the PS3.

Stewart Gilray, CEO of Just Add Water (Developments) Ltd (JAW) says: "Continuing our campaign to update the classic Oddworld titles, we are excited to give new and old fans on Playstation the chance to play Munch and Stranger."

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD will be available for PlayStation Vita for 9.99 GBP, while. Munch?s Oddysee HD will be available on PlayStation 3 for 7.99 GBP.

I wonder if my Steam version of Munch's Oddysee with get a HD upgrade just like Strangers Wrath did? That is the question

Would love them to bring out a HD version of Oddworld: Abes oddysey, loved that game. Would make a brilliant XBLA title
