Wii U e-Store discounts Chasing Aurora and Little Inferno

Nintendo's confirmed that it'll hold a sale on its e-Store this week, reducing the price of titles such as Chasing Aurora and Little Inferno.

Little Inferno on Wii U is now half price at 8.39 GBP, which is great news as this is certainly one of the stand out downloadable titles on the Wii U e-Store.

These appear to be just for the European eShop, with the US version not offering the same discounts.

Both titles will be discounted until January 3rd, so snap them up while they are cheap.

Chasing Aurora doesn't look up to much, Little Inferno is definitely interesting though, if I have any spare cash by the end of the week I'll probably pick it up. The Wii U eshop has gotten off to a good start, with some quality titles like Nano Assault, Trine 2 and my personal favourite Mighty Switch Force,.

£8.39 is half price? Oh man... looks like the Wii U eshop prices are just as bad as the 3DS ones.

Most PS3s, yes, but it is still a digital transfer of a retail release.

Try checking the downloadable prices of the games on 360 and PS3 then mate, pretty much the same. When will you get bored of you're vendetta against Nintendo?

I doubt he ever will, it is pretty much his raison d'etre.

For retail games you're quite correct. I was thinking more in terms of download specific titles.

Most arcade games are 1200 Ms points, costs £9.99 in shops.

I know that, which is why I was taken aback at the suggestion a Wii U download title was priced around 17 quid, almost double the XBLA standard. Turns out the article has incorrect information though, so no point debating this further.

it was £12.99, it's not half price at all.
PrometheusFan's avatar
£12.99 would certainly be a more understandable price. Thanks for the clarification.

Don't make any observations that are even slightly critical of Nintendo or you'll be labelled one by default anyway... and likely hounded across every part of this site. Trust me on this one :(

Actually in the Wii U eshop the developers set the prices for their own content, not Nintendo. So it was never a reason to have a go at Nintendo to start with. :)

Publishers are the ones that set the price on the PSN store also where MS have stricter guidlines on price that they have to follow. Sony also charge publishers for each download via PSN,

I felt that some of these were more expensive than they should have been. So maybe I'll pick them up if I get some Nintendo money for Christmas.
