Del Torro's inSane talks with "very very big company"

Film director Guillermo del Toro seems to have his inSane video game project back on track, revealing that he is partnering with a major games publisher for its release.

The game was previously tied to THQ, however the troubled publisher gave up the rights, allowing Del Torro to renegotiate with other publishers.

"We are in talks with a very, very big company," del Toro told The Toronto Sun.

"I can't say who, but it's one of the big ones. They really responded to the game, they responded to what we were trying.

"Some of the devices of the game I need to update, because now I've seen them in other games that just came out. That always happens. But the principle we're trying to do with the game is to make it a really immersive narrative experience. It's still a really challenging proposal."

so bigger than THQ? That leaves EA, Activision, Nintendo, Ubisoft, Sony and Square. I can't see EA or Activision picking it up unless dollar signs appear in their eyes when proposing it. Square seem to be picking up a lot of the smaller companies and reviving projects like Sleeping Dogs, Hitman and Tomb Raider however.

ill agree with u on square... 1 of my favourite companies especially for the final fantasy series which is my favourite series of all time.. but after sleeping dogs and hitman and the way tomb raider is looking they are just getting better by the game.. love square

Square is amazing. So hopefully it will be them, have always been up there with my favourite publishers. FF7 and FF8 are one of my favourite ever games.

Square would be the best option, I have a horrible feeling it may be Activision though.

Sony might rob this one. Even though a PS3 owner I hope not but again would not be suprised.

Oh noes, not one of the BIG companies.... this will mean a new and exciting idea will be laden with day 1 DLC, and infested with DRM.
