New Monster Hunter 4 trailer arrives for 3DS

Capcom has released a new trailer for Monster Hunter 4, this time showing the various enemies you'll come up against, as well as some pretty lovely new visuals and some pretty slick combat.

What's not to love? Well apart from there being no Vita version.

Monster Hunter 4 is released in Japan this summer. It's going to be huge.

Looks pretty sweet, I'll have to see how I get on with the Wii U version of 3 before I commit to it though.

I can't understand why SONY missed out getting this for the PSVita :-/ MH games in Japan really sold LOADS of PSP's in the past. So you would 'think' SONY would of tried everything to get this on the PSVita. Oh well, SONY are SONY i suppose i.e sometimes they get it right & sometimes they don't lol

Or maybe Capcom looked at Vita sales figures and thought 'What's the point?'

But a flagship title like this would shift Vita units. I understand devs don't want to lose money, but if no one will make games for the Vita, how will it sell?

Looks pretty good. With this and Pokemon it looks like it's time for me to pick up a 3DS!

The reason 'Monster Hunter' isn't on the Vita/PS3 is because Nintendo poached the license of Sony + If it was to come out on those platforms Capcom would have to upgrade the aging graphics engine they've been using since the beginning. Shame really as the series won't reach it's full potential on a Nintendo console.

Another game to add to my 3ds collection and it looks amazing, still need to play more of freedom unite first though. That sand monster in the trailer reminds me of the giant sand akrid in lost planet 2.
