Walking Dead: Survival Instinct confirmed for Wii U

Activision has confirmed that it'll release its version of Walking Dead on the Wii U later this year.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, which will also launch on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, is an FPS based on the hit tv series.

"We were over halfway through the project when the Wii U thing started coming about," producer Glenn Gamble told Digital Spy.

"We didn't want to change the game, because the game had already been established, so we tried to say, 'What can we augment with the Wii U version?'

"That's where it's basically a more elegant inventory management system. With the Wii U you have access to your backpack at all times, so you can tap what weapons you want, you can drop stuff. It's a lot more streamlined."

The game is released on PS3, PC and Xbox 360 this March. There is currently no date for the Wii U version.

From what i have seen from this game so far it will not be able to Compete with Zombie U at all. but you never know, it could turn out to be great. If i get it i will be buying my version on the Xbox 360 though.

Sounds like they aren't really trying with this, I would have thought after seeing Zombi U they would realize they are going to have to up their game, but instead they are just going to palm us off with some half hearted addition to what looks like a very mediocre game.

Its bad though as they know people will buy it just because it has the Walking dead branding on it, so their going to take full advantage of that and pump out a half assed game. Hope i am wrong though.

ZombiU is the best survival horror I've played in years! It does such a good job of immersing you in the world. I can't see Activision providing anything nearly as tense or exciting.

Loads off people will buy it Rachael, because of Telltales game more than the WD branding itself I think, without Telltales game people would have been wary of a TV spin off, but Telltale have given the brand some serious videogame credibility and Activision are just taking advantage of it.

It is great Masterchocobill, some real old school survival horror when all the other survival horror franchises are going action based.

Just hoping it won't be a COD clone. Some stealth elements and even deciding on different routes to take to mix up scenarios would be pretty cool.

Seen on their facebook page that it releases near the end of march, which means they do not have alot of time to improve that trash video we have all seen before. I'll wait till early to mid march before i make any decisions on whether to purchase this game. At the moment its not looking too promising though.

This game does not look like it is ready to come out in a couple of months, I saw a bit of the old footage and it just looked boring.
