Project X Zone announced for European release

Namco has announced that it's Project X Zone, its strategy RPG featuring famous Namco Bandai, Capcom and Sega heroes, will be released in Europe this summer for Nintendo 3DS.

In Project X Zone players use a team of two characters known as a Pair Unit to explore the world within the game. An additional character known as a Solo Unit can be combined with the Pair Unit to assist in battles with Solo Attacks as well as augment the attacks available for players to execute. Throughout the game, battles erupt at a moment's notice, therefore players have to master an array moves including Solo Attacks, Support Attacks, Cross Hits, and Finishing Moves in order to defeat foes.

Look out for the game later this year.

I never thought this would get a western release! Nice. Not sure how I feel about the game itself but I do want to support these kind of releases over here so we get more of them. There are too many good games we never get over here, which isn't good since the 3DS is region locked.

I'm amazed something like this is getting localised... especially considering it's Namco-Bandai, who have a long history of leaving games with decent sales potential to rot in Japan only release form. The strangest part is that they have like 4 or 5 games that would sell better than this that they still won't be releasing outside Japan. Odd business practices from these guys.

I have to admit I was not expecting to see this game localised. I'm glad though as it looks to be a genuinely entertaining RPG. Hopefully it's out early summer rather than late.

This game looks really interesting actually... But can't these companies start making brand new IPs instead of these mash-ups?
