Sony seriously need to be working on emulation for these games onto Vita. How awesome would it be to be playing vice city on your handheld, at work? Hell Yeah! Also, I would finally have time to play my Twisted Metal Black download

troublemaker, you've said precisely what I was going to. I love the Vita but such blatant opportunities like this seem to be getting overlooked. Is it a licensing problem? Or did the idea just pass them by? :S

i think its more of a technical issue that anything else, its possible the game cannot run on the vita, i know some ps1 games won't run on it due to one reason or another, its a shame really.

Do you know if i can download any of the final fantasy games on the vita and if they run ok? this is one of the deciding factors for me to get one or not.

All the FF games seem to work fine. I've only tried 7,8 and 9 (And the PSP remake of 4), but they all work. As to PS2 games on Vita, it seems it can't be done. PS2 games are extremely difficult to emulate using software only solutions (Like the PS1 games use)as seen by some of the currently available classics having issues that weren't there on the PS2 originals. If even the PS3 has trouble emulating these titles, then a much weaker system like the Vita hasn't a chance.

Ah, well, there go my hopes for Gungrave on the Vita! :( lol. Still, at least I can play Silent Hill 1 to my hearts' content on it. I suppose the problems with emulating PS2 titles makes a lot of sense though, I remember reading many comments about how difficult the system was to code for when it first came out, and when the first PS3s came out, their solution for running PS2 games was (if I recall correctly) to pretty much shove a PS2 mainboard in there. I'd also loved to have seen Onimusha make a reappearance (on ANY platform if I'm honest) but it feels like Capcom have forgotten about it :(

It amazes me that Devil May Cry got a HD collection (Despite the 2nd game sucking big time!) and yet the Onimusha series, where each of the trilogy were all classic games, doesn't? What happened to you Capcom? You used to be cool! X(

This along with III definitely deserve a hd makeover with trophy support! I would willingly pay more if that was the case

I've seen 'Vice City' on the iPad and was pleasantly surprised how good it played. The touch screen controls take awhile to get used to but it looks exactly like the PS2 in every way. It was about time they re-released this classic again (albeit in emulated form); although compared to the grit and grime of GTA:IV; it garners the retro tag instantly - but in a cosy, reflective way. Had tons of late nights/early mornings with this little Vice City beast!

GTA: Vice City was such a good game!!! i remember i used to put cheats on and get a tank, make it fly and then make it do a lopp-the-loop in the sky! was sooooo much fun! i used to play it with my best friend and we would take it in turns to get as many stars as we could and then see how long we can survive! would be amazing if they have amped up the graphics to HD although i doubt it. i will have to have a look into this :D be even better if, like ashmanmosh said, it comes with trophy support. was gutted when my ps2 disk got scratched and wouldnt load the game anymore, clearly played it woo often :p be nice if we can just have a digital version :D
