Wake Up Club arrives on Vita next week

Sony has announced that its brand new and free app for PS Vita called Wake-Up Club arrives on PlayStation Store next Wednesday.

This app not only helps you get up on time in the morning put it also allows you to earn trophies too.

The app comes with two modes. First up is Alarm Clock mode which allows you to set an alarm using a selection of themes and alarm sounds. There are 10 themes in total including Tokyo Jungle and Journey themes. More themes will also be added via the PlayStation Store.

Another option is Wake-up Club mode, here you can set an alarm to be part of a club with up to 11 other players who have set the same alarm time as you. Tap your on-screen avatar as quickly as you can when you wake up to win the competition and prod your friends' avatar to wake them up if they're still sleeping! You'll be able to check your wake-up success rate result and progress to collect trophies as you play.

What fun.

I've been eyeing this app for a while, great it made it to EU. A game themed alarm clock that awards you with throphies to wake up? Count me woken up.

its ok, all you really end up doing is setting the alarm to go off a minute later so you can get the trophies. As a thing its a bit pointless, but its free so cant complain.

I can see a lot of people getting this not as an alarm clock, as everybody already has one, but for some easy trophies, all they have to do is set their regular alarm a minute or two earlier.

Surely for easy trophies all you'd have to do is, for example, set it for 12:00 just now and then quickly tap it whenever it comes up? It'd be a nice novelty for someone who has troubles getting up.

What every gamer addict needs, I guess? To think people waste their talents on designing this garbage! ;)
