Rumour: Next Gen Racer and new Guerilla Games title to be announced on Feb 20

It's being rumoured that Ged Talbot, the lead designer of Blur and several Project Gotham Racing games is working alongside a few other ex-Bizarre members at Evolution Studios on a new Next Gen racing game for the Sony.

Apparently some of the former Studio Liverpool team are also working on the game, which the rumour from stfuandplay?says will be similar in style to PGR. Apparently the team did want to make the new game part of the Gran Turismo series (much like MS have done with Forza Horizon) but Japan declined this offer.

In related news, it's also being rumoured that Guerrilla Games new next gen title will be revealed alongside the above racing title at Sony's 'See the Future' event on February 20.

The above is all speculation of course. But if true it would not only see a game come to frutition from some of the most talented racing game developers around, but would also allow us a glimpse as to what the very talented Guerrilla Games is up to next.

Oh man, I wish the whole team were working on the xbox game the control of the PS3/4 isn't ideal for racing games due to poor analogue triggers. If the triggers of the new controller are more like that of the current xbox then I have a dilemma!

You just have to hope we get to see the new Killzone. Guaranteed it'll look amazing, I just wish they'd make a standard FPS 'control scheme' for it.

Aka a CoD scheme. All games are different, it shows they don't copy each other. Besides, it's not hard to adapt to a game. After an hour or two you should get to grips with everything.

Having a different control scheme for the same options isn't the way to show you are different. If I play Killzone for afew hours, decide I'll take a rest of it and go on COD, It'll be like learning all over again. It's just being awkward for awkwards sake.

I wish they would just make Blur 2, for me Blur was the best racer of the last generation. Instead they split the team and are both essentially making the same game for different consoles, and I think going back to PGR is a step backwards for them after Blur.

Blur is not a bad game. I agree with you on that

A new Killzone then. Probably one of the least exciting games for me. I played Killzone 2 and although visually its great, its not my cup of tea really. Haven't played Killzone 3. Would rather play Doom 3
