Bioshock Infinite goes gold

Bioshock Infinite has gone gold, meaning that it's heading to the pressers and will arriving as expect on March 26.

Ken Levine announced the news via the Irrational's website saying, "I'm happy to announce that the game has gone gold. What that means is that it has been approved by both Sony and Microsoft (and the PC Gods, natch) to be sent to the manufacturing guys to load up fleets of trucks with BioShock Infinite and be driven to a store near you on March 26.

"The total cost of the game was five years, 941 billion Klingon darseks (plus tip), 47 camels, a cranberry flan, and the blood, sweat, and tears of the Irrational Team.

"Nobody has ever built a game quite like this. It's a shooter, but a shooter that brings you to very uncomfortable and dangerous places. I can't demand that you play the game; I can promise you, however, that once you have, it will be an experience you won't soon forget."

BioShock Infinite arrive March 26 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, you can pre-order your copy below.

Yey, really pleased this is not delayed again. Just went through Bioshock 2 again and thoroughly enjoyed it even though most people dont rate it so highly. Please let this be as good as I hope it will be.

I think the first game was ground breaking in visuals as gameplay. Unfortunately I didn't think the second one had moved on from the first. Based on the screens and the hype of new instalment, I must say I cannot wait for the release of this gem! Hopefully a fantastic game!!

I'm going to re-complete them when I have time before getting this. But the trailers, all of them, have been fantastic. Make you really pumped up for this.

Congrats to everyone involved :) Each game so far has been stellar, and i'm sure this one will be the best yet!! Only 4 weeks to go now! The power of the Bioshock name as a brand is just great though... No reviews or anything and its gone gold. And i'm guilty for at least one of those sales too :P Just hope that supposed 'Bioshock Vita' leak yesterday was legit! Another one to add to the Bioshock repertoire...

Please describe the nature of the abuse:
