Metal Gear Rising Revengeance DLC detailed by Platinum Games

Platinum Games has today revealed more information on its upcoming Metal Gear Rising VR Missions DLC.

Posting on its blog and translated by MGStv, the developer revealed that its new VR Missions DLC will consist of 30 missions featuring a virtual-reality look inspired by the original Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions.

The first DLC will be called "Soul Snake Wooden Sword". A special wooden sword infused with the soul of Solid Snake, which when you swing it allows you to hear Snake's voice.

A street fighter style mission is also included, which sees you fighting with bare hands against a cyborg with side-scrolling game's fixed camera. You'll also be able to control a Dwarf Gekko to stun all the cyborg soldiers in the darkness long stage.

The second DLC is said to allow you to control Sam, while the Third DLC is LQ-84i. Although there are no further details on these at this time.

The VR Missions are PS3-exclusive only in North America. In Latin America and Europe, the DLC will be available for the Xbox 360 also.

*this information was translated so there may be some inaccuracies.

Yeah, I can't wait for the seperate story missions involving Sam and Bladewolf. I guess the David Hayter infused Sword will be good fun too.

Yeah, those two weren't central enough in the main story given how crucial to the plot they both were. Was really annoyed the Wolf didn't hang around to help at least one time.

Aye, once you get in to the city, you fight off the cops and have two massive robots come. He then tells you he'll scout ahead! Just had to ninja run out of there.

I don't have this game yet but it's nice to see the game get some DLC. I like the idea of a Street Fighter style mission. May push me to get the game at some point

It depends if the story is full I guess and if it value for money. I guess the general consensus is this game is good value. It looks amazing and if I had more dollar I would be purchasing myself a copy but 4 games in under a month (2 down, 2 to go) has knocked it out of me. Would a actually like to play Crysis 3, Bioshock Infinite and this! I ain't got time to complete them all!!!

Ot too bothered on the DC fighting game they never have appealed to me. Bioshock looks good but I found them such tough games that I gave up on the first one. Crysis so I am told is amazing. Later this year we have GTA5, last of us and Resident Evil Recelations so an amazing year for gaming!
