nice to see companies looking after their games straight from the of!

It would be nice to see a game released that doesn't need patching sometime.

that is very rare these days!

Won't happen. It's good that they're doing it nowadays, especially seeing as games back in the day had all sorts of bugs that they couldn't do anything about.

i feel for people without access to the tinternet... must be rubbish to play a horribly broken game

That's most games these days, I shudder to think what some games would be like without all their day one patches.

Far Cry 3 had massive bugs released and all this jazz. I played through the game without noticing a thing. Without an internet connection, alot of people wouldn't come across these 'horribly broken' parts of games.

Considering most of those fixes seem to be for online play, I doubt anyone without an internet connection is bothered by any of these. But I do agree, the day a game ships finished will certainly be a chilly day in hell!

Must be freezing at Nintendo then, very few of their games have any problems, but there's an exception to every rule.

im excited for tomb raider now :D hope that isnt full of bugs though but if it is ill be happy for a day 1 update :D long as it works who cares HOW it works to be honest! everything has its problems some things more than others, least companies are making efforts to fix them these days! certain companies anyway "cough cough"

Online shooters have waaaay too many bugs post-release. But even more than that is the balancing. Without having the entire game being playable to millions of players you can't tell whether certain aspects of the MP is truly balanced or not. So the best they can do is patch the game as seen fit. Its a bit sad but needs to be done.

A poor show from EA again, they are awful at this! On a brighter note I am told this game is fantastic and I am looking forward to playing it at some point. The environments look lush!

Surely if it is that bad, the game couldn't be fantastic? They're fixing little problems that all games have. Just be thankful EA aren't leaving it to the small percentage that do have these problems.

Played through the entire single player and only had one glitch, which was the sounds occasionally cutting out during a dog-fight bit. The online did seem very laggy and jumpy at times but is still enjoyable.

It's all moved on from the days where games were perfect when they were released like the PS2 era
