Star Wars 1313 faces an uncertain future, with new reports suggesting that development of the title has been put on hold.
Kotaku reports that three separate sources claim the title has stalled, although LucasArts itself insists that work on the title is continuing.
According to rumours, Disney's focus is on the new JJ Abrams-directed Star Wars: Episode VII, not on material that is unrelated it. 1313's developers may still be fervently plugging away, for all we know. As mentioned LucasArts says, the game "continues production," however Kotaku seems convinced that it's not currently moving forward in any official capacity.
The game isn't without its troubles having been originally based on a previously upcoming tv series, which was then cancelled. 1313 was then re-written and now follows the Uncharted model as seen by the reveal of the game at E3 2012. Many were impressed with the game when it was first shown, believing that it would be released on next-gen consoles, however it was later confirmed for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Let's hope things work out for the game.
