New update released for Wii U

Nintendo has released a new software update for the Wii U, adding in "system stability improvements and other adjustments to enhance the user's experience".

You can download the 30MB update now.

Unfortunately the update does not include the overall speed upgrades that Nintendo has promised for the Wii U's lengthy OS load times. A further update is expected at a later date to address this issue.

As well as waiting for Nintendo TVii to launch in Europe, future updates will also include a Virtual Console section in the eShop.

Hmmm.... is this really news...?

If people are expecting it to fix the speed issue, and it doesn't, then they'll want to know why. And this basically says that it isn't doing that.

Strangely the update isn't automatic, had to manually start it,

I had to update the Wii U manually too. I haven't been on my Wii U in a while and this post reminded me to go on it and have a little look on Nintendo eShop. I found a demo for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate which I am currently downloading. The loading screens are still really annoying if you are trying to flick through a few settings.
