Journey sweeps up at the BAFTAS

The BAFTA Game awards took place last night and as you'd expect, Journey pretty much swept up, although there was a surprise winner in the 'Best Game' category.

Best game actually went to Dishonored which took many by surprise, although to be fair, it was a pretty decent title. It certainly beat off some stiff competition, but overall it seems a decent choice.

Elsewhere Journey picked up five awards, while the unusual title that is Unfinished Swan picked up two.

And well deserved. Journey is a spectacular game. It was an absolute pleasure to play it and when I started, i couldn't put it down, it was so beautiful! Plus best game going to my personal favourite of last year (well, tied with Spec Ops) it's about time Dishonored won a best game somewhere.

Glad Far Cry 3 won an award. That and ME3 were probably my favourite games last year.

I enjoyed FC3 alot. The story put me off a bit though. Without putting spoilers, they done something in the middle of the game that I really didn't agree with and it tainted the whole experience for there on in for me.

I didn't like the boss fights. And certain things that did happen. But I still loved the game as a whole. And the fact that you play as Brody would be in real life, being absolutely scared of every car that drives past till you've smartened up, was just great for me.

Play fair DW! LMAO! It's a PSN game from "thatgamecompany" it's one of those games as art kinda games. all flowy and pretty! One to try if you ever pick up a PS3. I bought the collectors edition from the states (yay for region free gaming!) that included flow and flower as well. Both equally great.

I was only poking. :P Everyone I know that's played it has said it's brilliant, simple and just breathtaking. I've never seen the appeal myself, but it does look very good.

It is weird. I only grabbed it because I saw the collection going cheap. It's not the kind of game I would usually go for, but even the most hardcore players i know that have played it have said it's just gorgeous. Like I say, it's worth a punt if you've got the machine to play it on. I was just saying to a mate this morning that i'm a bit gutted the the exclusivity deal between Sony and TGC is up, but at the same time I'm glad because so many are missing out on their games if they don't have a PS3.

I haven't played Journey before but it doesn't really interest me, even with all the hype its got. Dishonored did well to fight off competition from Far Cry 3 and Mass Effect 3.

I'm surprised to see Dishonored and not The Walking Dead to win best game.
