Pokemon will be the first game to support NFC (Near Field Technology) on the Wii U, meaning that you'll be able to collect figures and beam their stats directly into the game.
Japanese magazine CoroCoro (via CVG), reports that Pokemon Rumble U will be the first game to support such a feature and will arrive in Japan on April 24.
Priced at 1,800 yen, the game will release alongside seven Pokemon figures each priced at 200 yen. When your character levels up, the system will store this information inside the figures.
No date has yet been revealed for the U.S or Europe, but we imagine games such as this could really help the Wii U to take off, especially if Pokemon are involved.
