Sony signs deal with Unity

Sony has confirmed that it has signed a strategic agreement with those behind the popular Unity engine.

The new deal will see support for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Vita and PS Mobile platforms with optimized deployment.

The Unity engine has been growing in popularity over the recent years, thanks to its accessibility and its use for making it simple to port existing games to almost any system.

Unity for PlayStation is expected to launch later this year.

I don't even know what Unity is, the only thing I remember by that name was Jeff Minters Gamecube project that eventually became Space Giraffe.
