Very slight increase for Vita despite no new releases? Interesting. Wii U hits all time low number this week as well.

So looks like Vita has pretty much levelled out in sales, which is about 2000 units more prior to the price cut. Dragon's Crown and Final Fantasy are coming soon at least...but those are on PS3 too so doubt will do much. Sony need to buck up their ideas a bit more. Wii U can only go up, no price cut yet and all the big titles still to be thrown at it.

Vita was struggling to stay above 10k a week previously, so that's a 50% increase if indeed this it setting a new base level for itself, that's not an insignificant achievement. And yes, Wii U can only go up... the question is whether or not it can STAY up. Judging from the fact a mainline Dragon Quest game (The single biggest franchise in Japanese gaming) had a barely noticeable effect on it's already poor sales, I'd say it's wise to not take for granted how much better or worse things could still get for Wii U.

As you said yourself. Dragon Quest was already released on the Wii. So not surprising it doesn't sell as well. It's like when you see PSV games. They don't sell nearly as well if they're on the PS3 too since people already own the older console so no need to buy a new one for it. For example One Piece (another huge popular title over there.) Still in charts for the PS3. Vita version? Once we start seeing a constant stream of big name games we'll start and see the console sales go up. But it's not gonna go anywhere if we get a big game every 2 month

I think 10000 - 15000 is about as high as can be expected with the Vita. Stock shortages and rumours of a new version will keep it low.
