Virtual Console launches on Wii U tomorrow

Nintendo will launch its Virtual Console on Wii U tomorrow. If you have a Wii then we presume you already have access to most of these, since they are just old NES and SNES titles with no modern updates to the code.

Here's the launch line-up:

- Super Mario World
- F-Zero
- Excitebike
- Mario’s Super Picross
- Ice Climber
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Punch-Out!!

The NES titles all cost 3.49 GBP while the SNES titles cost 5.49 GBP.

If you already own any of these games on Wii, you can transfer them over to your Wii U free of charge.

Silly prices, I'm just going to stick with the 30p deals for now, hopefully some non Nintendo VC games will become available for Wii U at some point, I have a couple of C64 games on Wii that I wouldn't mind having on Wii U.

Wow, insane prices. Wasn't there supposed to be some special offer similar to 30p sales but with NES/SNES tales? I am sure in the Nintendo Direct they said $1 for NES and $1.50 for SNES. Guess there was no EU offer but still, I hope we get something similar. And still no Super Metroid? Thought that would have been one of them since it goes for 30p next month.

Prices do seem kinda expensive but I've seen PS1 titles on the Sony store around £7.99 so I guess it kinda makes sense. Although I'm only gonna get titles every now and again. Mario's Super Picross I loved the GBA version so gonna be one that's needed. Hopefully they upgraded it to touch screen. (and if so. Mario Paint next please.) Shoozie. There are 30p sles once a month, We had Baloon Trip, Punch Out and F-Zero with Kirby this month. Metroid is next month yep. Kinda pointless putting it up prior since there'll be SOMEONE who pays full price and then bitches that it's up for 30p

Its £1.49 to transfer a Wii game over. However, it now utilises the gamepad.
