Pete Doherty's Babyshambles announce 2013 UK tour

Indie rock band Babyshambles, including lead singer Pete Doherty, will hit the road later this year as they embark on a UK tour.

The extensive run of shows, which will be their first live performances since they started working on new material, will kick off in Glasgow on September 3 and run right through to October 21, with a final show at the O2 Academy, Bournemouth.

It's expected that the band will play new material during the 20 shows that make up the tour. It was revealed earlier this year that Babyshambles were working on their third full-length album, with producer Stephen Street. This will be the band's first new material since their 2007 album 'Shotter's Nation'.

'Shotter's Nation' is available to download here. You can also grab a copy of their 2005 debut 'Down in Albion' here.

Good to hear they'll have new material. Would have prefered him and Carl to have reunited for a new tour and a new album, but alas, this'll do. I have Shotter's Nation on vinyl, one of my 3 vinyls I actually own.
