Evening Newsround, May 1: Call of Duty, Peter Molyneux

It's time for this evening's Newsround. It's been a fairly quiet day, although as usual there are a few bits and pieces to round up, so let's get started.

Curiosity set to end, Molyneux to make mystery Xbox appearance

The app you tap, Curiosity only has 50 layers left, meaning we'll find out soon what's inside the cube. What could it be?

Interestingly, the final layer could be removed on the day that Microsoft announces the next Xbox, which is strange because Peter Molyneux, the man behind the game and former Lionhead boss, has said "There's this opportunity that's come up for me to be involved in the Xbox announcement, and I'm probably going to take up that opportunity," he told Eurogamer.

"I'm sworn to secrecy here. It should be really good fun, and maybe slightly contentious."

Mmm so whose invited him then? Gametrailers perhaps? He has worked for them before during E3.

Call of Duty Website Updated once more

Activision has once again updated the Call of Duty site, this time with the words, "The Ghosts Are Coming."

The game is also on Facebook and known as Call of Duty: Ghosts.

It looks like we should expect a reveal soon, although whether it will be on May 21 or before is anyone's guess.

Sony's Yoshida admits PS3 lessons have been learned

Speaking in an interview with Edge, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida has said that the hardware giant didn't always get it right when it came to PS3.

"We've been criticised all the time for people having to wait to download patches," he told the magazine, "or for firmware updates, and we are gamers as well so we know exactly what people have to go through on PS3.

"So [when it came to PS4] we wanted to really make it a focus so that our developers in Tokyo and the US who work on system software and such features were really thinking about some of these experiences,"

That's good to hear, don't you think?

Here's some other news (Just the Headlines)

- Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn launching this summer for PS3/Xbox 360
- Batman Arkham Origins studio looking for 'Next Gen Specialist' - PS4/Next Xbox version incoming?
- New PS3 App launches for LoveFilm
- Nintendo tells Wii owners via message that Wii U isn't just an upgrade

So..

That's it for now, as usual if you have seen any news you consider interesting then post it below.

Never really thought Sony's problems were with their patches. Moreso for the games. Although if it's true that Sony charge money to patch the games then that can certainly be sorted out

The person who taps away the last layer in curiosity wins an entry into a prize draw to win a raffle ticket where the grand prize is an xbox 360 two

Peter Molyneux ethic is pretty appalling already. Last game was bad > Next game will blow your mind > Last game was bad > Next game will blow your mind

Anyhoo it seems some nugget has single handedly stopped the Twitter giveaways

People take things to seriously sometimes. Who cares if he gave the answer before the question was asked

In my opinion Shopto shouldn't even bother doing Twitter giveaways since most people who get the codes don't even post a thank you & most people who didn't get the code start whining about how they didn't get the code

They should give us some codes ;)

Yeah we see the Twitter codes come and go but I'm unsure how much interest it generates toward Shopto?? It does suck that I only seen a couple of thank you messages from more than 25 giveaways

I won a Tekken tag 2 prize bundle off Shopto twitter once but it was a retweet comp, those seem better in my opinion as they force you to get the Shopto message out to more people

I did win one of their PSN codes a month or so ago. I got the Virgil's downfall DLC for DMC (Which I won in comment of the week) from them. But you're right, i so rarely see people say thanks. And that collection of nappy scrapings from last night were, i think, out of the hospital without supervision

So far I have won Tekken Tag 2, DMC and 3000 points so I can't complain about missing twitter comps. I do think they might be doing them the wrong way but then I'm not bankrolling them so ho hum
