The Sims 4 announced for release next year

The Sims 4 will be release on Windows PCs and Mac next year.

The announcement post appeared on EA's official blog today, although few details have been revealed about the game.

"The Sims franchise is fueled by the passion and creativity of its millions of fans around the world," the announcement post reads. "Their continued devotion to the franchise ignites the fire of creativity of the team at The Sims Studio, driving them to continually improve and innovate on one of the world's most successful simulation game that has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide."

We'll no doubt hear more about this at this year's E3.

Excellent. Sims games usually end up on the consoles too so I expect Sims 4 to show up on the PS4 and NextBox maybe at some point in the future. Love Sims games!

I wanna try Sims 3 on the PS3. Not a fan of PC gaming anymore. Still waiting for a PS3 Football Manager or similar ( LMA?)
