Sony announces new titles for PS3, PS4 & Vita

Sony has revealed three new and unusual games for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Vita, one of which is an indie collaboration with Sony Santa Monica.

First up is the rather impressive looking Hohokum, which will release on all three Sony platforms in 2014. This title comes from Frobisher Says developer Honeyslug, under the watchful eye of the God of War team, while the stunning visuals come courtesy of artist Richard Hogg.

Hohukum is a 'whimsical, colorful game with an emphasis on playful exploration and creativity'. Gameplay sees you take on the role of a 'curious flying snake-like character,' although there are no missions, challenges or failures, however there are plenty of secrets.

Another new title is Doki-Doki Universe; which comes from Toejam and Earl creator Greg Johnson.

Players' first exposure to Doki-Doki will be in the form of a free download for their PS Vita, PS3 or PS4. This is a light version of the game where players can fly around a Universe and take fun personality quizzes. This free game will also include the Doki-Doki Mail messaging app, which players will also be able to get for free on mobile platforms as well, for cross-platform chat.

If you then decide you can then purchase and download the full game, an 'RPG/Simulation/Interactive Story' game.

Last but not least is CounterSpy, which comes to PlayStation Mobile, PS3 and Vita, not PS4. It's a side-scroller in which you play as a member of C.O.U.N.T.E.R in order to stop an international incident. The developer behind this one is a small team known as Dynamighty.

You can find out more about all of these games over on the PS Blog.
