Evening Newsround, May 8: GT celebrates 15 years, new game announcement next week?

It's time for Newsround after, what was, another busy day.

So let's get started.

Sony to celebrate 15 years of Gran Turismo next week, GT6 incoming?

Sony will host a celebration of the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo at the world-famous Silverstone Circuit (UK) on 15th May, 2013.

The original Gran Turismo game was first seen in Japan in December, 1997, after five years of development by legendary designer Kazunori Yamauchi, and then released around the world during 1998. The franchise went on to become multi award winning and the biggest-selling PlayStation title ever.

Yamauchi-san is set to provide an update on the future of the Gran Turismo game at Silverstone - we are guessing this could relate to Gran Turismo 6.

Sony to waive PS Mobile developers fee

Sony is to waive the fee that would-be PlayStation Mobile developers are usually charged, therefore removing any barriers for potential developers on PlayStation Mobile devices such as PS Vita as well as other 'certified' devices including Sony phones and tablets.

Hopefully this will encourage more people to develop for the service.

Just the Headlines

- Ubisoft Reflections to announce new title at E3
- Capcom expect next gen development costs to 'soar'
- Wii U to miss out on 15 next gen EA titles due to lack of Frostbite Engine 3 support

That's it for now. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

To be fair. The Wii U CAN handle the game. Evident that it can handle more than the PS3 and the 360. It's more that EA won't support the Wii U.

Shame EA don't make 15 games I care about, or even one for that matter.
