Paramore announce UK & Ireland tour dates

Paramore have announced plans to tour the UK and Ireland later this year.

The band are set to play a total of 6 arena shows across the UK in September. They will kick their tour off in Dublin, playing a show at The O2 Point on September 2. Shows in Manchester, Cardiff, Birmingham, Nottingham and London will follow later in the month.

The trio, lead by vocalist Hayley Williams, released their fourth album 'Paramore' earlier this year. Leading a big shift away from their typical pop-punk sound and involving more experimentation, the band are expected to play heavily from the album's tracklist on their upcoming tour.

Speaking about the UK dates, Williams said "We're so psyched to come back the UK and Ireland and play the new songs for everybody. See you there!"

Tickets will go on sale this Friday (May 17) at 9am. There's a full list of dates below.

Dublin, The O2 Point (September 2)
Manchester, MEN (20)
Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena (21)
Birmingham, LG Arena (23)
Nottingham, Arena (24)
London, Wembley Arena (27)

I really recommend listening to the new album if you haven't already, LFC. They've moved away from needing to be a 'guilty pleasure' and have proven themselves as a band worthy of praise and attention from almost everybody. They draw influences from new wave, pop, rock and even finish the album up with a huge post-rock finale. There's even a gospel choir in there for one track. It really is a ton of great fun.

I'd go to the one in Manchester if I didn't think that at 27 I'd be the oldest person there.
