Gran Turismo 5 has sold 10 million units worldwide

Sony Europe's President and CEO Jim Ryan has revealed during a Gran Turismo event taking place today that the latest entry in the series, Gran Turismo 5, has sold 10 million copies worldwide.

"It's as relevant now as it was 15 years ago. It's been hugely successful and continues to be," he said.

"It's the most successful PlayStation franchise ever with worldwide sales of 70 million units, Almost half in Europe. PlayStation and Gran Turismo are always going to be linked, GT is exclusive to PlayStation."

Gran Turismo 6 is expected to be fully revealed today.

As expected. The next one will sell loads too as long as they continue to improve it.

I imagine the vast majority of these people had previously bought it, realized it was rubbish and binned it. Before having regrets at not giving it a proper chance and bought it again.... Before more than likely throwing it out of a window.

I bet it would have sold more/stayed sold, if that god awful menu system was better, the install wasn't so damn flaky and the patches weren't so bloody big

Please describe the nature of the abuse:
