EA promises Xbox 360 and PS3 support until at least 2017

EA has promised both Xbox 360 and PS3 owners that it will continue to support the consoles until at least 2017.

The publisher becomes the first to speak of its continued support for the consoles, although we expect many more to follow, including Microsoft and Sony themselves.

With both consoles having an install base of around 80 million users, this hardly comes as unexpected. In fact we'd expect the install base will grow even more once both consoles come down in price, which is a distinct possibility with both the PS4 and Xbox One on the horizon.

Um, yeah, with outdated physics and graphics engine. Maybe a rehash of old entries (in terms of FIFA, NHL, Madden etc.). I expect the same thing that happened with FIFA 13 for PSVita to happen with FIFA games for 360 or PS4. I hope I am wrong though.

So EA still support the PS2 and will continue to support the PS3 and 360. They know where the money is which is why they aren't making games for the WiiU.

1st thing: 2017 is when Ignite will finally come to PC. 2nd: "Support" means FIFA 13 labelled up to FIFA 18 and other applicable sports titles.
