Evening Newsround, May 24

It's time for Newsround.

It's been a busy day behind the scenes for us as we prepare reviews for the next few weeks. Just as well it's been a relatively quiet news day, well with the exception of all of this Xbox One speculation that's been flying around.

So with that in mind....

Xbox One will talk to you

It's being reported that the Xbox One camera will talk to you and let you know if there is someone in the room it doesn’t recognise, as well as asking the person to identify themselves.

Polygon, reports that once the player is identified they'll have their identity saved to the system and will be "welcomed" by Kinect.

The system’s voice capabilities may not be available at launch, but could be patched in later.

Sounds... different.

Xbox One Trade In's explained, maybe

It's being reported that retail shops will be able to offer game trade in's for Xbox One by registered buyers on their system.

The retailer will have to agree to Microsoft's terms and conditions, so when a user trades a game the store will enter their details and the game will then effectively be wiped from their system. Microsoft, game publishers and the retailer will all get a cut of any new sale, with the retailer being allowed to charge as much as they like.

Interestingly the shopper, won't have to pay the activation fee for a used Xbox One game - the shop will. Therefore, the price you see on a second-hand Xbox One game in a shop is the only price you'll pay.

This makes it sound like used games cost will be able to stay fairly low, although if retailers add in the cost of the activation fee to the used game things could get expensive and you're more than likely cheaper buying new anyway.

Sky confirmed as Xbox One Partner

Sky have been confirmed as the partner channel for Xbox One in the UK.

Microsoft Studios boss Phil Spencer told Edge, "we have partnerships with Sky, with Canal+ in France, and we’ll continue to grow our international expansion.

"We'll put a worldwide face on the platform because Europe, in particular, is especially important to us this generation," Phil continued.

Phil also added that Microsoft "want the world to watch television through this box" - that's funny, we thought that's what a Sky Box was for.

Just the headlines

- SimCity Amusement Park Expansion officially announced
- Microsoft seeking patent for TV Achievements
- Black Ops 2 updates released for consoles

So...

It's time for a bank holiday and three days off, Yay! Enjoy your extended weekend and remember, the winners of Competition Monday and the new competition for the week will begin on Tuesday.

Have fun and be good.

That god damn kinect is starting to sound really REALLY creepy. Tomorrows report, "kinect one give you advice and pointers if it happens to spot that you ain't doing your other half right!" Oh, and sky, I just bought a 2tb box from you guys, I don't want a pretend dvr that can only handle a quarter of the amount of shows! I'll be interested in a sky deal, when they A) integrate into a TV flawlessly and B) announce that their on demand stuff includes films that are currently on at the flicks
