The Maccabees hope to finish next album by the end of the year

The Maccabees have revealed that work has started on their next studio album, which they hope to finish before the end of the year.

Speaking to NME, the band's frontman Orlando Weeks confirmed that they had entered their London studio to record the follow-up to 2012's 'Given To The Wild', which they will be producing themselves for the first time.

"We went straight back into our studio in Elephant & Castle at the end of last year. We spent time doing it up too." he said.

The band's next album will be their fourth. They released their debut 'Colour it In' in 2007 and its follow- up 'Wall of Arms' in 2009. You can download all of their previous studio albums here
