Hanson launch own beer; merch sales will go to Oklahoma Tornado relief

Hanson have launched their own beer, which will help to raise money for victims of the recent Oklahoma Tornado.

Oklahoma is the hometown of the Pop-Rock band, who are currently celebrating 21 years in the music industry. The Indian pale ale, named Mmmhops after their hit track 'MMMBop', has been brewed in partnership with the Oklahoma-based Mustang Brewing.

Billboard are reporting that sales from related merchandise - but not the beer itself- will raise money for the Red Cross disaster relief fund. This will include t-shirts and glasses, which are available now.

Speaking of the tornado, lead vocalitst Taylor Hanson said:  "The tragedy hits close to home, especially since this community was among the first places our band performed together, including schools which were lost in the storm"

"We are hopeful that the proceeds we can galvanize will play a lasting role in the recovery efforts."

I'm not an IPA fan so I would buy it, but not drink it.
