Respawn's debut game is Titanfall

Respawn Entertainment’s new title is known as Titanfall and is coming to PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360 according to a new Game Informer reveal.

The game is apparently a multiplayer shooter with no offline mode. It'll include matches for up to 16 players as well as including AI-controlled enemies, such as Titans which take the form of giant exoskeletons.

Respawn told Game Informer that the reason this title is not coming to PlayStation is because "it thought it would prove too difficult to also make its first game for PlayStation platforms as it only had a relatively small team and wanted to focus its energy on creating the best possible product."

So Microsoft's cash had nothing to do with it then?

"That's not to say we won't [go multiplatform] in the future, but for our first game we wanted to focus on making the best game we could," Respawn concluded.

The game is said to be due for release in Spring 2014.

Expect a load more details on this game at Microsoft's and/or EA's press conference.

**sings** money money money moneeeeeeeeeey! Yeah, right! Pull the other one respawn, it's got bells on. Guess that's the ea deal we've been reading about huh? You know what? No single player at all? Xbox can keep it. It could be awesome, but I have no real time for online only.

Online only with no singleplayer campaign will already loose a fair few customers. I doubt Sony will be bothered by this game. They picked the wrong side in Microsoft. Early indications say that the PS4 is far the more popular console and will get more exclusives because of its studio portfolio. While Microsoft were busy selling off what little studios they has, Sony was buying up all the talent. Microsoft paying for 3rd party exclusives won't work as 9/10 they are only limited exclusives.
