Sony confirm no used games restrictions, connection requirements on PS4

Sony have just announced that the PS4 will not make use of used games restrictions.

Following in the wake of controversy surrounding Microsoft's choice to restrict used games and game sharing on Xbox One, Sony has finally announced that it won't be following in their footsteps.

Jack Tretton announced the news to a cheering and whooping crowd at Sony's E3 conference. With a grin on his face he went on to explain that the console also "won't stop working" if you don't sign in periodically and disc-based games "won't require any authentication".

Since the announcement, the following video has appeared on the official PlayStation YouTube channel.

I couldn't help but grin when hearing this and still smiling now. with the announcement of the price, no restrictions on used games and no 24hr authentication. Sony have killed it tonight and should well and truly beat microsoft now.

LoL! nice video Sony, I've said this before, used games and always online does not really bother me as i buy new games and my console and PC are always connected to the net, but well done on Sony for winning over some gamers who are bothered by it
