Elder Scrolls Online confirmed for Xbox One in addition to PS4 release

Bethesda has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls Online will also be released on Xbox One alongside the previously announced PlayStation 4 version.

The game will launch on these consoles, in addition to PC and Mac versions, in Spring 2014. The Elder Scrolls Online allows players to choose their own style of play and embark on an adventure across all of Tamriel, playing with a few select friends, or playing with hundreds of others in PvP battles to save the Empire.

“We are thrilled to bring this game to consoles, in addition to the PC and Mac,” said Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online. “It’s something our fans have been requesting since we first announced the title, and something our team is excited to offer. Everyone will be able to play The Elder Scrolls Online the way they want to play”

The Elder Scrolls Online will be the first Elder Scrolls title to be played online after nearly 20 years.

Are you looking forward to this one?

It would be awesome if, PS4, PC and One can play together, but I sadly doubt Microsoft will allow it.

That's cos Shadowrun uses Games for Windows Live. Blazblue 1 is "cross play" as well

The developers always say they don't do cross play though because PC players have an advantage, the guy from Bethesda already said that they keep them seperate so all players are in the same boat.

HAd a look and it was down to both not wanting it http://www.dealspwn.com/microsoft-sony-rivalry-blocking-defiance-crossplatform-multiplayer-124141 however Elder scrolls is a bigger deal so they may be able to persuade them.

They've already said Elder scrolls won't be cross play though, unless they changed their mind down the road but i highly doubt it.

Was hoping for more crossplay for it they are doing it for FF 14, had a quick look at using the controller in the beta and it seemed ok.
